Is the Hotel on the beach?
The hotel is 70 mt from the beach “Le Sabbie Nere”.
Is there any shuttle service from/to the port of Lipari?
The hotel offers a free shuttle service to / from the port on arrival and departure. To arrange the transfer upon arrival, please let us know when yoi buy the hydrofoil ticket.
Please also confirm the departure time the night before and advise us in case of any delays.
Where is the nearest beach?
The nearest beach is “Le Sabbie Nere” with all of the facilities (from May to October)
Do all the rooms have a sea view?
Not all of the rooms have a Sea view. On the ground floor the rooms are have a garden view. On the first floor there are rooms with a garden view and rooms with a terrace and a partial sea view. On the second floor we have 2 suites with a large terrace and a partial sea view.
On the on-line booking on our official website the classic rooms have the words "with common terrace", the comfort rooms and the junior suite "with private terrace", only the suites have the word "sea view".
What time is check in? Is an early check in available?
Our check in time is from 2.00 pm, but it is possible to arrive earlier at the hotel and use all of the facilities in the common area. Early check in is not guaranteed but we will be more than happy to check you in if your room is already available.
Does the hotel have a swimming pool?
Yes it does. It is open from 09.00 to 21.00 and has sun exposure until 7.00 pm. A sunbathing area with umbrellas and sun beds is provided.
Is the pool water heated?
The pool does not have artificial heating but is naturally heated by the sun.
Is there a lifeguard in the pool?
The pool has a maximum depth of mt 1.30, therefore you can enjoy your swim with no worries.
Is there entertainment in the pool?
No, our guests prefer to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. For this reason, playing ball and inflatable games in the water are forbidden.
Do you have any restaurant onsite?
We do have a restaurant onsite. It is the L’Altra Spiaggia where our chef prepares typical Aeolian and Sicilian style dishes of both meat and fish. Our cuisine is based on the freshness of local products and focuses on the rules of a healthy diet, accompanied by a fine selection of Aeolian, Sicilian, and Italian wines.
What are the restaurant opening hours?
Our restaurant is open for lunch from 12.30 to 14.30 and for dinner from 19.30 to 22.30.
How is the restaurant service organized?
Our restaurant offers full table service at lunch and dinner. Please book your table in advance at the reception desk.
Does the hotel have parking?
The hotel has free parking that is not guarded. From the 1st of June to 30th of September, there is a non-disembarkation ban for cars and motorbikes for non-residents people with the exception of guests who have booked at least 7 nights at the hotel. If you would like to take the car with you, please contact us to receive the appropriate authorization.
How do I get to the islands?

Is there a city tax?
No, the town of Lipari does not have any city tax.
What is the best way to get around the island?
You can rent a scooter to avoid traffic and to easily reach all points of interest. If you have no experience driving a scooter ATV’s and cars are also available.
What excursions can I do during my stay?
In our hotels you will find a display with all of the recommended excursions. Many of these can be booked directly at the hotel.
Can we book excursions before our arrival at the hotel?
We recommend booking excursions during your stay and not in advance due to changing weather conditions.
Is it possible to use the hotel services on the day of departure?
Yes. All of the hotel services are available to our guests until their time of departure.
Where can we leave the car if we take the hydrofoil?
In Milazzo there are several private garages and lots that offer shuttle services to and from the port. Don’t hesitate to contact us for more details.
Can we rent a scooter or a car before we arrive?
Yes. We can provide quotes for different vehicles but a deposit is required to make a booking. Prices very depending on the model of the vehicle and the duration of the rental. Booking in advance is recommended in August, during summer weekends, and during public holidays.
Is it possible to reserve a boat before we arrive?
Yes, it is possible to book a boat with or without a skipper but a deposit is required. A boat license is required if the engine is more than 40 hp. Prices vary depending on the model of the boat and the duration of the rental. Advance booking is recommended in August, during summer weekends, and during public holidays.
Does the hotel have a spa and a gym?
No, but we have agreements for our guests at facilities nearby.
Is the beach sandy or rocky?
All of the beaches on the island are made up of rocks or pebbles. It is possible to choose between private beaches with different amenities or the free beach.
Are the ferry and hydrofoil always available? Even on Sundays and Public holidays?
Yes, ferries and hydrofoils are always available except on days with unfavourable weather conditions.
Can I book the ferry ticket with you?
No, but you can book it online. If you do not want to use a credit card for online purchases, you can book through a travel agency that works with us.
Is it possible to bring the car to the island?

Is the kitchen equipped to handle particular food requirements?
Yes. Please communicate any specific requirements or intolerances and our chef will prepare a menu to cater to your needs.
Can we connect to Wi-Fi?
Yes, you can take advantage of free wi-fi in the rooms and in common areas. You need to enter the password provided by the hotel.
Is there any assistance / maintenance service?
For any damage please notify us promptly. The reception is open 24 hours, but we need notice to find the suitable technicians.
What do you need to climb Vulcano and Stromboli?
The Climb to the crater of Vulcano is a medium-low difficulty and it takes about 1 hour. No guide is required. You will need comfortable clothing, sneakers and high socks because there is a lot of sand.
The climb to the crater of Stromboli is a medium-high level of difficulty. For this reason a guide is required and it is recommended for trained hikers. The following special equipment is mandatory:
- trekking shoes
- long pants (or shorts with long socks)
- sweatshirt
- wind jacket (or winter jacket)
- at least one spare t-shirt as during the climb you will sweat and at the top the temperature is much lower
- a backpack with two litres of water and energizing food such as chocolate and nuts
- dust-proof handkerchiefs or a bandana are highly recommended
